Pokemon Sapphire Verison GBA is a role-playing video game released in 2002 for the GameBoy Advance by Game Freak. It was released in Japan on November 21, 2002, with the Pokemon – Ruby Version, by The Pokemon Company and Nintendo. On July 25, 2003, it was released internationally. In 2014, the remakes were finally released after much anticipation. Nintendo released the 3DS remakes of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire with amazing reception from the fans.
As with other Pokemon games, Pokemon Sapphire Version tells the narrative of a young Pokemon trainer. Firstly, the trainer first levels up their Pokemon and battles other trainers. Secondly, the trainer attempts to fight Team Aqua, an ominous evil organization. Finally, the trainer strives to become a Pokemon Champion. Furthermore, the game stands alone from its sibling Pokemon Ruby. The trainer must, however, trade between Pokemon Sapphire Version and Pokemon Fire Red/Leaf Green to complete the Pokedex.
Pokemon Sapphire Version
Pokemon Sapphire is a role-playing video game that functions similarly to its predecessors. It contains two gaming screens: one on which the player navigates their character and one on which the player configures their Pokemon party, items, and settings, among other things. After getting Pokemon, the player levels them up by battling other trainers and Pokemon, which lets them acquire experience points by defeating them. By causing harm to other Pokemon, the player can defeat them and force them to lose health points (HP). If the combat is with a wild Pokemon rather than a trainer, the player can use a move or an item, swap into another Pokemon, or run.
Trainer battles culminate with one party’s Pokemon all having 0 HP. Certain Pokemon learn new moves and even evolve as they go through the stages, while their stats improve. You win wild Pokemon battles by defeating, escaping, or catching them. You can use Pokeballs to catch Pokemon, and the catch rate varies per species. The less HP a Pokemon has, the easier it is to catch it. The user can use several condition alterations to make Pokemon easier to capture, including but not limited to sleep and paralysis. Pokemon who have become fazed or have status ailments can be healed in a Pokemon Center or with the use of an item.
The Hoenn Journey
The game begins in Littleroot Village, a little town in the Hoenn area. The player has recently relocated from the Johto region, and as powerful Pokemon known as Machokes begin to unpack their belongings, their mother instructs them to visit Professor Birch. Later on, you find Prof. Birch right outside Littleroot Village. A wild Poochyenna is chasing him and you must select between three Pokemon. The Grass-type beginning Treecko, the Fire-type starter Torchic, and the Water-type beginner Mudkip as your first Pokemon. After obtaining the starter Pokemon and defeating their opponent in a trainer battle, the player can obtain Pokeballs from Professor Birch and begin their Pokemon adventure, catching new Pokemon, training them, and fighting other trainers and Team Aqua on their way to becoming the new Pokemon Champion.
